Our Mission.

The National Redundancy Helpline was established as a free and reliable source of information for people who are experiencing redundancy or have previously been made redundant in Ireland.

A redundancy happens when you lose your job due to either the business closing or a planned reduction in staff.

This process is governed by The Redundancy Payments Act which provides a minimum redundancy entitlement for employees with a set period of service with the company.

If you do qualify for redundancy there are specific procedures which both employers and employees must abide by.

National Redundancy Helpline is a free service where a vetted panel of financial consultants are on hand now to evaluate your employers’ redundancy offers.

Your employer may be presenting an apparently generous financial offer. However, the payment you accept now may have long term pension and tax implications for you.

You should always seek independent advice before signing any redundancy offer.
